If you meet all program requirements, or you will within a semester or two, here is the process.

Submit Prescreen

After submitting your info on our site, you will receive an email with prescreen instructions: basic info, career path preferences, unofficial transcript, and SAT/ACT score screenshot.

Medical Screening (MEPS)

Complete military entrance medical screening. Waivers, if required, can be pursued in tandem with other steps.

NUPOC Application Forms

Complete NUPOC-specific paperwork including the APSR, APSR NUPOC Addendum, COMBO Forms, SF-86 security clearance, and other required documents.

Phone Interview

Technical phone interviews to assess your academic knowledge and prepare you for the DC interview.

VIP Trip

Visit a submarine or aircraft carrier to see firsthand what life will be like once you get to the fleet.

DC Interviews

2-3 technical in-person interviews followed by a character interview with the Admiral.

Now You're In!

Receive $30,000 Bonus and First Month's Pay

Upon acceptance, receive a $30,000 signing bonus and your prorated first month's pay.

Shave for Military ID Photo

Get a clean shave and take your official military ID photo.

Exercise Regularly

Maintain physical readiness in preparation for Officer Candidate School or Officer Development School.

Finish Your Degree on Active Duty

Complete your 4-year degree or 5th-year master's while on active duty as an E-6. You'll also have VA loan entitlement, Tricare health insurance, and life insurance.

Promote to E-7

Earn a promotion to E-7 by referring a friend to the program.

Stay Out of Hospitals, Jails, and Newspapers

Keep a clean record and stay out of trouble while you finish school.
